My name is Kristen B. Pleasant
Kristen B. Pleasant is a co-founder and partner of Pleasant & Williams, The Barristers’ Law Group, LLC, the first and only African-American female law firm in Northeast Louisiana.. Attorney Pleasant's areas of practice are: Personal Injury - Accidents and Product Liability, Family Law, Civil Rights Violations, Successions/Estate Law, and Business Law. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Southern University Law Center and an Honorable Mention graduate of Southern University A&M College. Her membership affiliations include the following: the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
She began her legal career as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Monroe and a partner in the law firm, The Lawyers’ Group of Louisiana, PLLC for a period of two years. Thereafter, she was a solo practitioner in the law office of Kristen B. Pleasant & Associates, PLLC until co-founding her present law firm with Attorney Jessica Williams. Attorney Pleasant is also an Assistant Professor in the College of Business at Grambling State University, wherein she teaches Business Law.
Attorney Pleasant is currently married to Rico Pleasant, founder of Rico Images, LLC - A Professional Photography Company. She is also a faithful member and ordained minister at Prevailing Faith Bible Church, which is pastored by her parents, Drs. Charles and Patsy Brown. In her spare time, she participates in various outreach ministries involving mentoring women and troubled youth.

My name is Jessica Williams
Jessica is a native of Monroe, Louisiana where she graduated from Ouachita Parish High School. She obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. She is a former Assistant District Attorney and Public Defender for the Fourth Judicial District.
Jessica is a co-founder and partner at Pleasant & Williams, The Barristers’ Law Group, LLC, providing legal representation in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to Personal Injury, Family Law, Estate Planning, Criminal law and Civil Rights. She is also a qualified Civil and Family Law Mediator.
